South Africa is home to the Marula fruit, so incredibly rich in Vitamin C that it puts the humble orange to shame. It’s the source of our Virgin Marula Oil, used in A-Game our Ultra Hydrating Balm for its super absorbent and anti-ageing benefits that plump, hydrate and brighten skin. We chatted to our founder Nnenna Onuba, who cites Cape Town as one of her top three cities in the world. Here she shares some of her highlights…
Cape Town is completely different to any other place in Africa and I’ve visited many. It’s a cosmopolitan city that boasts an undeniably natural beauty visible at every angle. It has something for everyone and every budget.
DO

Cape Town is a thrill seekers dream, from running, water sports, mountain hiking and cycling – the options are endless. The roads are wide and modern, I highly recommend the c.15km Chapman’s Peak drive along the Atlantic Ocean, the view at sunset is simply spectacular!
EAT

Cape Town has a buzzing foodie scene, new restaurants and talented chefs popping up all the time. My standout food experience remains at the Pot Luck Club (PLC) for its laid back vibe and world-class food! The menu includes exciting dishes that celebrate the regional heritage, indigenous flavours and farm fresh ingredients. Food is shared, service great, cocktails are delicious and it offers unforgettable views of the city. thepotluckclub.co.za
Visit the Winelands
Less than an hour from the City, no visit to Cape Town is complete without heading to the Cape Wine Lands. Nothing turns wine drinking into an experience more than when its accompanied by stories from the winemakers, in the vineyards where it all happens. While there are many familiar grape varietals, you must try the Pinotage – it’s a red grape unique to South Africa.
EAT

If you’re time poor, head to Delaire Graff Estate for the ultimate in luxury and hospitality. Nestled between majestic mountains and overlooking the vineyards of Stellenbosch, lunch outdoors paired with a wine tasting is a great way to let a few hours roll by. delaire.co.za

Rustic and romantic, Babylonstoren in Stellenbosch is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms and boasts an expansive wine estate. An eight-acre kitchen garden, multiple restaurants, a garden spa set within a forest of bamboo and its tranquil greenery make this as beautiful as it is bountiful and the ideal place to recharge for a few days. babylonstoren.com
