It might be snapping at your partner over insignificant issues, a cold you just can’t shake off or repeatedly waking up at 2am. Perhaps even dark shadows, dehydration lines and spots. Our bodies send us lots of signs to tell us something is off. Sometimes the reasons are obvious, sometimes they are harder to isolate.
As aromatherapy is one of our favourite stress relaxation techniques, we invited Professional Aromatherapy Expert ,Nana Mensah to help us better understand the powerful link between the between essential oils and our emotions – in our Mind, Mood & Aromatherapy session. Especially as we see many common misconceptions around how essential oils can really work and what it is they do. For example, is it really possible to balance moods using aromatherapy? Why are certain oils associated with certain properties and how can we learn and understand the best ways to use these oils?
AROMATHERAPY EFFECTS ON THE BRAIN
In our Mind, Mood & Aromatherapy session above, Nana covers that essentials between these linkages and explains how aromatherapy really works. As well as some of cautionary aspects to dealing with chemicals – noting that too much of anything is never good for you. Sensory overload is possible as your brain needs variety to distinguish one thing from the other. It’s always best to use essential oils from a trusted source, and in small doses, or with a carrier oil (especially when applied topically).
Stress is Complex reaction that requires a sophisticated approach
We also had the important reminder that Stress is a complex reaction. Stress can manifest as feelings of nervousness and anxiety or it can manifest as lethargy or fatigue and most times we are stressed our immune systems are compromised and need boosting.
It’s with these in mind that LBB’s Flight Mode Mood Rescue oil was formulated as an everyday aromatherapy blend to tackle modern day stressors from multiple angles. The blend of 9 high quality and therapeutic grade essential oils working synergistically together.

The image above – illustrates some of the different ways in which Flight Mode can be enjoyed to both calm, uplift, boost immunity or unwind at the end of the day.
- Relaxing, calming and sedative properties: such as lavender and cedarwood.
- Grounding: Patchouli’s grounding properties as it’s known that feeling grounded and centred is a great way to alleviate stress.
- Uplifting Oils like lemon and peppermint which trigger positive and uplifting effects, because stress at time manifests itself in feelings of lethargy and fatigue.
- Finally anti-viral and immune boosting oils like eucalyptus and tea tree which help decongest, purify and protect.
Flight Mode really is an all-round oil. However more importantly is the ability to include Flight Mode in your practises and rituals – whether its waking up, going to sleep or meditating. The handy roll on format, makes it easy to incorporate the benefits of essential oils on your body, emotion and moods into your lifestyle. Whether it’s relaxing / working from home or on the go by creating your very own personal non-intrusive bubble with our essential oils.
