ODInstall enables you to release your application with an on-demand feature installation with a single line of code. OnDemandInstall is fully Microsoft Windows MSI API compatible, and certified for version 1.0 of the API to enable you maximum compatibility with end-user platforms.
ODInstall has been developed as a native VCL for Delphi 5 / 6 / 7 / 9 (2005) / 10 (2006), and besides the MSI.dll (which your installation used to install your application onto the end-user machine), will you therefore need no additional libraries or external files.
This means that this OnDemand Install functionality is compatible with any operating system running Windows Installer version 1.0, which includes any machine running Internet Explorer 5+.
The easiest way to see exactly what TODInstall can do for you is to download and install the DemoApp. This is a complete dummy application with three MSI installation features. Only the first feature is actually installed, while the last two are advertised (i.e. install on first usage).
The first feature contains a small Delphi application which has a button to display a RTF readme file which is located in the second, as of yet, to be installed feature. With TODInstall you can write a simple Delphi application that allows you to control the installation of each of your product features. This is possible in a single MSI file, with a single line of code.
Features are composed of one or more components. Components can be installed from scratch, or they can be used to add additional functionality to already installed features.
When you install a component (either from scratch, or added to an existing feature), it will install this component, together with a help file describing what the component can do. The help file is either included in the MSI file, or is sent to the user for him/her to download.

If you’re looking for an MSI installer that you can use to deploy a single DLL, you may want to look into the WiX toolset. If you’re looking to include a single DLL as a feature, then you might want to look into COM Interop. I found that Interop was also the easiest for me to use.
To install a feature (for a single DLL), you’d use the following:
